Term 1 highlights

In Term 1 the Year 7 class experienced a lot of things including a visit to Science Alive to talk about light and our eyes, making calendars and land yachts in Technology at Christchurch East School, the Year 7 and 8 Swim Week and most importantly the Year 7 and 8 Camp. The week long camp was held at Wainui Park. We stayed in Wainui Heights on the east side. On the Monday after a two hour bus ride we did a three hour hike up hills, through mud, and over rocks and there were no toilets! It doesn't sound very appealing but it was really fun. From Tuesday to Thursday we did a range of activities which included abseiling, kayaking, hugh ropes, coasteering and UHF radios. It was a very enjoyable last camp before the Northern Tour which we will do next year.
